Hey there. So about me huh? Well, I’m a computer programmer and a musician. I do mostly web stuff these days but I guess, who doesn’t do web stuff in the programming game? Computer wise I have to say I’m a bit of a language junky. I love ‘em, and I love to hate them. No doubt most of this blog will end up about programming.
I am also a musician and play with an outfit called Eccodek. I play bits of wood with strings attached, guitars, mandolins, banjos, bass, piannas, stuff like that. I’m hoping I can write in some equal way about my musical world too, just to try and keep it balanced, though being balanced is not my strong suit.
I live in an igloo in the great white north of america, with my girl Claire, the somewhat less unbalanced artist working her way to a PhD. She is awesome for a lot of reasons but mostly because whenever I go away on tour with the band or thinking tours in my head, I come back, she is still here throwing paint and books around. I love that about her.
We had fish named Pepé but we gave him to the conga player. It seemed like the right thing to do. We hear from them from time to time and they say things are going great. So it’s just us here, us and a pile of computers and books and paint and canvases.
We make art because art wants us to.
